During our two week road trip down the East Coast of the US we took a detour that would bring us to the best views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
New York State Parks keep amazing us with their abundant waterfalls, mountains, hiking, and gorgeous scenic views! On our quest to explore more of the state’s natural wonders, we planned a visit to Minnewaska State Park Preserve in the Hudson Valley– New York’s largest state preserve at 22,000 acres! Our spring visit was full of rushing waters, icy rocks, snowy foot paths, and a frozen lake. Our summer visit was a motivating exploration of the trails that led us to the highest scenic overlooks.
Hickory Run State Park hosts a variety of outdoor activities, but when we heard “Boulder Field,” we could not resist a trip. This 15,990 acre park, located in the western foothills of the Pocono Mountains, boasts a National Natural Landmark unlike any we had seen before.
Germany is an incredible destination with so many wondrous things to experience like Pfaueninsel, aka Peacock Island. It’s full of romance, beauty, and history. If you’re planning a trip to the area, this is a terrific way to spend at least half a day.
