Family adventures always include at least one special thing that we want to experience or enjoy, but Grandfather Mountain surprised us with four—otters, bears, a skybridge, and the highest peak in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Needless to say, everyone in the family was satisfied.

This oceanfront playground promotes the preservation and protection of marine life through programs in their oceanarium with bottlenose dolphins. Our family had the privilege of spending an afternoon here and we made an “ocean of memories.”

So many beautiful views of the Pacific coastline at Point Reyes. There’s a seal overlook just before the lighthouse and an awesome stretch of ocean beach as you walk towards the lighthouse. These are some of the views that inspire a move to the west coast, but I’m not there yet! ⛰🌊
