I had the honor of being asked to write a post for an online magazine called The Burgundy Zine about great outdoor experiences in New York. I could not resist the temptation. Most people only think of Manhattan (aka New York City) as a representation of New York, but the majority of the state is more rural with waterfalls, caves, ocean beaches, and other natural wonders. This invite motivated me to combine many of my adventures and knowledge into my first “Top 10” post. Enjoy!

I have visited New York City a few times and I’ve never ventured out of the city after reading your post I now wonder why because there is so many incredible things to do outside New York City that are maybe overlooked because people like me don’t venture out of the city
I believe that’s exactly what the general world population is thinking. It is difficult to see everything when traveling and NYC has such a strong draw, but I’m hoping I can educate everyone and let them explore some amazing things. Hope you come back for a new adventure!
